Diamond Dolls

My lovely daughter, Hurricane, pictured many times in these blogs, has joined her high school's Diamond Dolls.  The girls man the concession stand at the baseball games and give snacks to the players.  This mama had to get involved and decorate the bags to put the snacks in.

The first one is an 8" background cut from the Artbooking cartridge.

The second one is cut from Base Camp cartridge (because I wanted a shadow font) and then the new hostess stamp set My Hero B1448. (Yeah, it's a plane not a jet, but close enough.)

Two things I want to say about this post - First - I think it's really cute when mom who blogs, gives her kids nicknames in order to protect their identity.  So, I'm going to refer to my daughter as Hurricane, mostly because I just love that nick name.  We don't use it so much now that she is older, but as a child when she walked through a room, it was like anything loose whirled and fell on the floor behind her.  She was such a mess maker!

Second - you know how your workspace gets cluttered with all the things you are working on.  Hurricane walked by, saw these:

and asked (shocked) those aren't for their bags are they?  Just too funny - she knows I'll embellish anything!

Saturday's Crop

Saturday's crop went really well. The weather was great (no trudging through the rain) this time.  Sherry surprised us with these neat little treats, pull the ribbon and out slides your candy bar!

The next crop will be March 15th, St. Patrick's day crop.  Wear your green!

Color Dare #79

Rummaged through the stash for these colors!  I used some from the Victory pack, the Buzz and Bumble pack and Emporium (2009!),  The stamp sets are C1408 Live Inspired and D1436 (in the wrong package so I can't tell you the name).  All this stuff is retired.  The only thing not, is the Artbooking cartridge I used to cut the birds.  Check out the other entries at Color My Heart

Skylark Sunshine Card

I had very little of the Skylark kit left over after completing the two double layouts, but I got a couple of cool cards out of it.  It's just a square of the bird page, with a sentiment in desert sand and some hemp.  The little dragonfly is a metal brad I picked up at my local scrapbook store.

Skylark

I finally got some time to scrap this weekend!  I used up my Skylark kit, first with the main kit double layout (not pictured).  Instead of the second layout in the instruction guide, I went with the this one.  I really liked the entire decorated page and wanted to show case it.

I will add one vertical and one horizontal picture the right page, leaving most of the cool printed features in the open for viewing.
