September Bells & Whistles

I loved the baby layout on page 55 of the annual inspirations.  But I don't need a baby layout. So I changed it up to Remember - now it can be used for any party or celebration.  The left page is straight out of the idea book; the right page is from a Pintrest item from songofmyheartstampers.typepad.com called Dragonfly Dreams.
This Bells & Whistles class is on September 29; cost is $10.
This one is really a Bells & Whistles.  We stamp, splatter with water colors, sew, use Cricut Cuts - and building the string on the bunch of balloons was a challenge for me, but I came up with a way.  I cut all the strings the same length, then tied a ribbon around the base.  This is glued down with liquid glass.  The I attached the string to the balloons with foam tape - sandwiching the string between the foam tape and the balloon die cut.  Due to the nature of the products, this lets me slide the balloon up and down the string and position it where I want.  When I was happy I stuck it down.  That wonky pink balloon you see is because it's not stuck down yet - waiting on the picture first.
And a note on the Remember - this is cut from the new You are Here cartridge - then I daubed some Juniper ink on the bottom half.  Love that look!

Vegas Baby! 2018 Convention

I have officially registered for Convention!  This year (June 2018) it's in Las Vegas, at the Red Rock Resort.  This is a retreat (and treat) for consultants.  We get to do workshops someone else designed and cut the pieces, learn about the new products, get some of the new products, a great new bag, and be inspired to create and grow our business.  This will be my 6th convention and I love it.  It's a perk of being a consultant instead of a customer.  Join my team and join me in Vegas, baby!

Scrap Crew

Do you have a scrap crew?  A small group that keeps you inspired, shares ideas and shows off pages and memories?  Do you manage to get together for a getaway day doing your favorite hobby? Are you constantly in touch, and dreaming of scrapping when you are doing the necessary things in life? I hope you do, and if you don't that you find some.  The best crews are 3-5 people.  Sitting around crafting, swapping stories, while you preserve your memories, offering advice about scrapping and life.  Bonding at it's best!   If you are looking for your crew, try attending retreats or workshops where you can meet other like minded people.  We don't all mesh, and it may take some searching to find true friends - because your scrap crew is more than just paper and tape - it's most definitely a social crew.
Whether on your own, with a buddy or with a crew, come see who else is scrapping in the area at one of my open Saturday crops.  If you have a crew and would like to have a kit for one of your scrap days, I have multiple instruction sets I will be glad to share at no charge.  This is the finished product to the instruction set I am sharing for the September crop (other dates posted under the calendar tab above).

Tip: Any 5"X7" slot can be used to house two 3 1/8" X 4 1/2" with 1/4" borders.  So this design is a 5-6 photo layout.  If you shift everything up, then you could add a couple more 6"X3" photos or 4 3"X3" photos along the bottom.

September Special of the Month

September is National Stamping month.  And to celebrate, CTMH is offering a unique card kit available only during the month of September.

These are unique cards - something between a popup card and an easel card.  The two carrier sheet stamp set has multiple pieces to build your own flower arrangements.

If you sign up as a consultant in September, you get this kit for free.  You also get it for free with a $350 party.
