Game Day

This was the February Bells & Whistles workshop.

If you would like to create this with your own supplies, you will need:
Something Fierce paper pack
White Daisy cardstock
Game Day Stamp set
Willow Ink
Bluebird ink
Expresso ink
dauber or sponge
Artbooking Cartridge
M sized ball of your choice
White cardstock
Circle dies
Stitched Circle dies
Shin-Han marker Golden Yellow
bitty sparkles
post-it note
blocks
scissors
trimmer
adhesive
foam dots or tape

  • Using the Artbooking cartridge, cut a stencil (page 51, 6" Overlay, r) to make the Willow dots in the two corners on your Daisy White base pages.  You can cut this from any scrap cardstock.
  • Place your strips cut from the Something Fierce paper pack (blue 3"x12", yellow 1"X12", green 2"X12") 3" from the top or bottom.  There are 3" of white space at both.
  • Stamp Game Day and Go Team in Bluebird on the base pages.  Curve the Go Team stamp when placing it on the block.
  • Stamp Game day onto a post-it note.  Trim closely around the GA and D, then place over the image you have stamped onto the base pages.  Stamp your ball using Expresso, and place so your image overlaps the post-it not.  NOTE - position the stamp, or trim your post-it, so you see all of the ball image you want to see.
  • Stamp a row of balls on the bottom of the right page.  You can mask some of the balls, to get a front and back row appearance, if desired.
  • Stamp another ball on a scrap piece of white.  Fussy cut it out, and pop it using foam tape on one of the balls in your stamped border.
  • Stamp Teamwork makes the dreamwork in BlueBird.
  • On another scrap, stamp Star Player in Willow.  Color the star in with the golden yellow marker.  Cut the image using the largest stitched die.  It will just fit.
  • Cut a large circle from the blue Something Fierce paper to border the star player circle.
  • From green, yellow and blue paper, cut triangle borders.  (Artbooking, page 63, border, h, 1"). You want one or two of each color. Cut apart the triangles and build the banners as shown.  Place a bitty sparkle between each triangle.
